Feel free to share your comments, any errors, or how you use it: Here’s the story on how this guidebook was put together:Ībout: Created by James Wamser, an Adobe Certified Instructor, to use as a reference while teaching. If you don’t already have InDesign installed on your computer yet, then you can just download a free trial to get started right away – and then run it for at least 7 days free. Special: Legally download dozens of free Adobe books for a limited time! It’s also very helpful to consult when you need to save back to previous versions of InDesign (where the featuresets and file formats are older) – this way you’ll know which capabilities prior releases can support, and which they cannot. Just look for the “Download PDF” icon at the lower right of your browser, once you pull up the book. Wamser has carefully compiled with this work – and you can get it instantly here: It’s an impressive compilation of what many people want to know when they ask what’s different between versions… Typically you’ll find articles ( like this one or this one) that give the primary differences between two single releases, but never before has there been coverage as exhaustive as Mr. This PDF guidebook comprehensively reviews and compares what’s new in each successive revision of InDesign from version 1.0 in 1999 all the way up to the current CC 2023 release – and covers the details of all the major new features and material improvements along the way. Here’s the new and updated edition of a very handy resource from James Wamser – a complete reference to all versions of Adobe InDesign ever released… Similar to his Photoshop and Illustrator handbooks, it’s called called the Adobe InDesign New Features Guide, 1.0 to CC (2023), and this 138-page ebook is available for free download now:

Indesign 2022

When you do, you’ll find the majority of the physical controls easily to hand, including the all-important video stop/start button and dedicated controls for high frame-rate, autofocus and auto-aperture adjustment. There’s a huge, rubber-clad grip for your right hand and a large nub for your right thumb to rest against, so it’s not hard to get a good firm grip on the camera. It doesn’t flip fully forward like the screens in many video-centric mirrorless and compact cameras, so successfully filming yourself while holding the camera is still a matter of guesswork (unless you invest in an external monitor), but it’s a welcome start. It’s something Blackmagic users have long been clamoring for, as it makes filming with the camera above or below your eyeline much easier. There’s a built-in dual microphone and a 5-inch Full HD HDR display for composing and reviewing your shots (it’s a touchscreen too, so you’ll be using it to adjust settings most of the time), plus space for a Sony NP-F570 battery providing enough power for about an hour of recording.Īt long last in a Pocket Cinema Camera, the screen can be tilted (up to 90-degrees upwards or about 45-degrees downwards). Lens and memory card aside, this camera has everything you need to start filming 6K footage squeezed inside its frame. That’s especially impressive considering how self-contained it is. At 1.238kg without a lens or accessories attached it’s fairly heavy too, but (and this is the key point) it’s still smaller, lighter and more portable than the vast majority of professional cinema cameras. It has a chunky, angular and wide body that’s larger than most DSLRs (and both the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K). Design and handlingĭon’t be fooled by the name: the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro won’t be fitting in any of your pockets (unless you exclusively wear harem pants, perhaps). There are two new 6K Pro-exclusive accessories launching alongside the camera: the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF (costs $495 / £425 / AU$789) and Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Grip ($145 / £132 / $219). That camera, as well as Blackmagic’s Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, will remain on sale as current products, rather than being replaced by the 6K Pro. That seems like a reasonable price, given that it costs practically the same as the 'standard' Pocket Cinema Camera 6K did at the time of its release in 2019.
